Crew & Cargo: bringing the voyage home

A permanent roster, space for the haul and a proper account of what made it home.

Crew & Cargo began with a practical promise: let the people and equipment you bring home become part of the next voyage. Update 1.3 turned that idea into a broader rebuild of how an expedition starts, develops and ends.

Rescued castaways could join a permanent roster. Crew members retained their level, experience, stat points, class, passive abilities, equipment and inventory between expeditions. Back at the tavern, players could inspect candidates and choose who would sail next. Recruits could also leave for a reward and a chance to pass some of their learning to the remaining crew.

The haul needed a home of its own. Deck Cargo provided temporary space for spare loot, while Franek the parrot could deliver overflow items to the boat as the crew continued exploring. Rebuilt storage and trade screens supported moving, merging, retrieving and selling cargo. At the end of a cleared island, survivors could regroup and settle their final loadouts.

The Ancient Chest gained quests, levels, Crew Upgrades and Ancient Boons. Class development and active-skill mastery could continue across expeditions. Proper end-of-expedition summaries recorded what came home, what was lost and what the returning adventurers earned—whether the island was cleansed, the crew escaped or the voyage ended in defeat.

Announced on 9 August 2026, Crew & Cargo made returning to the tavern a more meaningful part of the game. The island still asks what you can survive. The return now gives those choices a lasting place in your next departure.
